No other event in the UK audio calendar offers access to systems of such exceptional quality, each selected, assembled and installed with extraordinary care. Yet even the finest audio equipment is ultimately meaningless without music. These are instruments designed for one purpose: to unlock music’s extraordinary ability to uplift and energise, or to soothe, move and restore.

That emotional connection lies at the heart of The Happening. Distinguished industry luminaries open the doors to their personal music collections, demonstrating the uniquely immersive experience of exceptional recordings played through some of the finest audio systems in the world.

Our ‘international music mixologists’ come from America, Australia, Denmark, France and Italy. Among them are acclaimed recording engineers, high-end audio impresarios and leading figures from some of the world’s most respected audio manufacturers. Above all, they are passionate music collectors, each bringing their own musical sensibility to The Happening to create a heady and highly personal cocktail of music for everyone who attends.
